The objective of the paper is to illustrate the impact of digital technology on the relationships between institutions and stakeholders in the Internet environment. The study sheds light on how trust builds value within the social dynamics of the digital ecosystem. The following case study on the ‘EU Governments – Stakeholders e-Engagement’is meant to clarify the effort that the governments of the EU member states are making to change the citizens’ mindset required to face the new Internet Age society.
