Two cases of hyperpigmentation of the skin and hyperthyroidism which developed during prolonged treatment with amiodarone are reported. Histological examination of the skin showed an inflammatory infiltrate of the derma, prevalently lymphocytic, and capillary vasodilatation with the presence of macrophages. The hormonal pattern demonstrated decreased T3 and FT3 and increased T4, FT4, rT3.
